God wanted a people He could delight in but they were wild vines, and so He sent His Son, the true vine. To be His people we must be connected to the vine, and then His righteousness is ours. Only if we go to Him for forgiveness are we saved from the wrath of God. There are those who might appear to belong to the vine but the lack of fruit tells us there is no true connection. Are we producing fruit?
