Woe to Assyria
Bible Text: Isaiah 10:5-7 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: The Book of Immanuel | In their ambitions for world domination the Assyrians were merely fulfilling God’s orders against Judah with whom He had become angry. However, the passage announces woe to Assyria because nations, individuals and organisations remain morally responsible for their actions. We can prosper but it doesn’t mean we have God’s blessing. The world is becoming increasingly intolerant but the Christian can be encouraged that God is with them and can have joy.
