Bible Text: Mark 4:35-41 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | The test of faith and the triumph of Jesus. The disciples lacked faith, doubting that Jesus cared for them. We need to remember what He has done for us, meditating on His goodness and sovereignty in our lives. Jesus calms the storm by simply telling it to be silent, and the disciples were filled with fear. They had been fearful of the storm but this is a greater fear. They would surely have known their Psalms which speak of God calming the sea. Perhaps we are seeing here the disciples growing in their faith. Even our sin can be used for His purpose.
