The Holy Spirit convicts of sin to bring us to repentance but there are also accusations of the devil who tells us that all is lost and there’s no way back. We live in a cruel world where there is no way back for people who break certain rules. However, in Christ our sin is taken from us. We are forgiven and declared righteous.
