Human pride is crushed in this chapter. We see pride in Arioch’s taking the credit for finding Daniel to tell Nebuchadnezzar his dream. In the dream, one kingdom gets replaced by another; no human kingdom lasts forever. Things get worse throughout history. Man becomes more clever but not better. Christ is the stone that grows into a mountain. When He returns, all other kingdoms will be destroyed. The kingdom of Jesus Christ is the only one that will never end. We need to live every day to serve Him.
