Jesus describes His disciples as those who have kept the word of the Father; the word is precious to them. It can be hard, but we can’t do without it. To keep it is to be obedient to it. The believer finds the law of God his joy and great delight, and becomes bold, courageous, and prosperous. They are stable and confident, while unbelievers are driven by the wind. We feel the storms of life but we go to the word and cling to every promise.
