The Vanity of Pleasure
Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 2:1-11 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Ecclesiastes | The preacher in Ecclesiastes threw himself into pursuing wisdom and found it vanity. Now he tries throwing himself into pursuing pleasure. He gains music, women and wealth. His conclusion is that this also is vanity. It doesn’t give any more control over life. He found pleasure in the pursuit but these things never bring us to a destination. What matters is knowing God and being reconciled to Him through Christ.
