While Jesus’ coming from the Father showed His deity, the second movement – His coming into the world – emphasises His humanity. He is fully divine and fully human. God does not become hungry and tired, but Jesus did because of His human nature. God cannot die, but Jesus did. He also rejoiced, sorrowed and wept. His human nature depended on prayer. However, He did not have the sinful nature that we inherited and He can therefore be the perfect sacrifice, taking our punishment.
