The Origin of Christmas Part 1: Jesus Christ
Preacher: James Allan | Series: Christmas 2018 | There are four names in verse 1. The first is Jesus; the Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua, meaning the Lord saves or is my salvation. The second name is Christ. It means the Messiah, the anointed One. We might have things that are set apart for a specific purpose. He is set apart for the very purpose of saving His people from their sin. He came as the suffering servant. The whole of Scripture has been building up to Him.
