Life is beginning to feel out of control for the disciples. When it all gets too much for us we should look to Jesus. He has a noticeable, sovereign, calm during this storm. Everything is under His control, even today. He has mighty power over the storm as He is the man who has dominion over all creation, and over guilt, death and judgement. He has authority over them and deals with our guilt. The storm doesn’t wake Jesus but the disciples’ cry does. His heart is in tune with their cry and He cares about their distress. His heart is tender towards us.
