Bible Text: Genesis 2:16-17 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Genesis | Eating the fruit made Adam become like God in the sense of taking what belonged only to Him: becoming morally autonomous and deciding what’s right and wrong. Adam represented the entire human race. We may think this unfair, but we rejoice in Christ bring our representative, our new head. God deals with us by means of a representative. Adam failed but Christ succeeded in keeping the covenant. He is the perfect representative.
