The Beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God
Bible Text: Mark 1:1 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | The word “gospel” was used in the Roman world as an epoch-making event; something that changes the whole world. This gospel is the announcement that the world needs to hear. Christ is the most significant person who has ever walked the earth; the-long promised Messiah. After the disciples finally realise He is Christ, Mark moves on to describe what He is like. The book also emphasises the suffering of those who follow Christ. Jesus says it will be hard to follow Him but there is a wonderful future promised to those who have given up much.
