Bible Text: Genesis 3:22-24 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Genesis | Did the devil’s claim that Adam and Eve would become like God come true? They did not become immortal but became like God by taking moral authority that belonged to Him. The consequence is that they were driven out of the garden. Sin separates us from God. The flaming sword and cherubim are placed to prevent man ever returning. There were cherubim in the artistry of the temple but there was hope; on the day of atonement the high priest would pass through the cherubim, pointing to Christ.
