Suffering’s Triumph
Bible Text: Mark 9:9-13 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | The atheist may make the most of the good times, but there is no hope in suffering. Jesus shows there is purpose to His suffering; He goes to the cross for the sake of His people. He confirms that John the Baptist fulfilled the prophecy of Elijah coming before the resurrection. They were alike in their suffering, and it is the path for all of God’s people. There is encouragement that the Lord has walked this path and is with us as we suffer.
