Serve Like the Servant
Bible Text: Mark 10:32-45 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | Jesus’ determination to get to Jerusalem was extraordinary since suffering awaited. James and John choose this moment to ask to sit at His right and left in His kingdom. Jesus tells them they will be rewarded for drinking their own cups of suffering. This is not salvation by works but it is an incentive to do good and be Christlike. Whoever wants to be great in the kingdom must be characterized by service.
