We find it almost impossible to accept that we are unworthy but the cross makes it clear; if we were worthy the cross would be unnecessary. The cross shows that God is holy and just. It also shows the world for what it really is; its pride and vanity that hides the hatred it has for God. Do we really want the approval of a world that crucified Christ?
