These are Paul’s last words to Timothy as He was being poured out like a drink offering. The church needs more of this willingness to pour out our lives in worship, service, devotion, and if necessary persecution and martyrdom. Paul sees death as a departure. It is leaving the imprisonment of this world for the liberty of the next.
