Zephaniah prophesied when the storm clouds of God’s wrath were gathering. Nebuchadnezzar was used by God to bring judgement around 50 years later but the prophecy also foreshadows a greater judgement still to come, when every person will be judged by God and sin will be cleared away. Zephaniah offers hope that perhaps we may be hidden on that day.
