Samuel died only when he completed the work God had given him to do. We are saved to serve, and God has planned things for us to do. We might wonder at God’s ways as Daniel and Jonathan are both taken from David. We must learn to look to the Lord. Although we are to enjoy the fellowship of God’s people, we need our own faith and cannot rest on the faith of others.
