Bible Text: Mark 9:43-48 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | Jesus uses this violent language to indicate that we are in a battle with sin. To sense this battle is a positive thing because those who do not feel it are spiritually dead. It’s a painful battle. The only way to be free from sin is to kill it, and doing so may hurt us, but it is better to enter life than to be thrown into hell. We must do everything we can, however drastic it may be.
