Bible Text: Mark 2:15-17 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | Jesus was reclining with tax collectors and sinners and was seen by the Pharisees who were utterly bemused. The Pharisees in their determination to keep the law added a whole raft of other laws. To prevent breaking dietary laws they added the law that they should only eat with other Pharisees. However, Jesus was where He was supposed to be; where the sick could find Him. The Pharisees also needed a doctor but their problem was that they couldn’t see it. The sinners who came to Him were those who saw their sickness.
