This Psalm was written on a great occasion – perhaps the return of the Israelites from exile – that only God could have brought about. He does powerful things for His people for which He is the only explanation. He is the only explanation for our salvation. This power is seen by the nations and He has glory; the world takes notice when lives are changed. He remembers His steadfast love and faithfulness; it is impossible for God to forget about His people. All His promises to them will come to pass.
