Bible Text: Mark 3:31-35 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | Jesus’ family arrive. He clearly honoured His parents during His childhood and showed concern for His mother when He was on the cross, but obedience to God must take precedence over obedience to family. Jesus is clear that we must sever ties that would prevent us from following Him. He knows what it is to suffer and understands the sacrifices we may make to follow Him. There is a closer bond than flesh and blood. If we are brothers and sisters in Christ then we should act like brothers and sisters. We are in this together.
