The Spirit caused us to be born again by the word and now the word is to be our priority. We don’t just sit back and do nothing, just assenting to a creed to be saved. We are to put off dirtiness and rampant wickedness. The word will constantly make us aware of new kinds of wickedness. We need to be doers of the word. Jesus requires obedience of us.
