Israel needed to stop looking out at everyone else and start looking within. We need to do the same. Are we judgemental of others and forgiving of ourselves? Here was a nation that of all the nations of the earth really should have been obedient to the Lord. We could pretend judgement is not going to happen, or we could despair, but by seeking refuge in the Lord we are saved. His people can rejoice, and He rejoices over them.
