If we are called into His purpose then it has to be the case that all things work for good. This purpose is to be conformed to the image of His Son. A real Christian will be changed and go on being made more like Jesus Christ. The ultimate end is the resurrection. It will not just be consolation but restoration. It will be better than anything in this life.
