Nebuchadnezzar’s plan to hold his empire together is to make these young men thoroughly Babylonian, stripping them of their Hebrew identity as people of God. The world bombards us with its message to forget God and be like them. God gives these young men favour and success. He is with us and gives us what we need when we make our stand.
