God Manifested in the Flesh
The council of Chalcedon in 451 dealt with the errors of Eutyches who taught that Christ only had one nature; his humanity swallowed up in the immensity of the divine. However, we have seen from Scripture that there are two natures, both God and man, and they remain distinct. If He had not taken human nature, or it somehow became mixed, we would have no hope.
