For Such a Time as This
These were difficult times; the annihilation of the people of God had been decreed. It is legitimate to weep and mourn in times of distress, but we do not sorrow as others who have no hope; the resurrection of Christ changes everything. It was also a time of decision. Esther has to decide if she is the pagan queen of Persia or Hadassah the Jew. Choose this day whom you will serve. Esther becomes courageous. Salvation is more important than even her own life. What are we going to do with the rest of our lives?
