Bible Text: Ezra 1:1-5, 3 | Preacher: Hywel George | The returning Israelites’ priorities are seen in their worship. There was unity; all in agreement that worship was worth leaving everything behind for. There was diversity as some rejoiced while others wept. When there is diversity of opinion we need to be loving and sympathetic. The sacrifices came before rebuilding their homes and the economy because without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sins.
