Bible Text: James 4:6-10 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: James | We have been saved from sin and are dead to it but we still struggle with it. There comes a “but” in verse 6. It’s good news. God gives more grace. It is followed by 10 or so commands that we must do. The first is to submit to God. We are to submit to His desires, not ours. We are to resist the devil. A consequence of submitting is that we become his target. We are to draw near to God. We can only do these other things and have victory in them by daily walking with God. God will respond to our efforts and will draw near to us.
