Bible Text: Romans 6:11 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Romans | The experience of Christ is the experience of the Christian too because the Christian is united to Christ. The context of this chapter is the suggestion in verse one that the Christian has a license to sin. Here we see why that’s unthinkable. If the Christian is joined to Christ, they receive life from Him and are becoming like Him. There is something we have to do: consider ourselves dead to sin and alive to God. Not to pretend or imagine that this is true, but to remember it and bring it to mind. We need to do this every day. Nothing can prevent His purpose in our lives that we be holy and blameless.
