The kingdom of God grows gradually. David’s dynasty was strengthened by his increasing number of sons but also his many wives, which was against God’s command. Are there things we do because the culture does them? God gives laws because they reveal things about Him. David reaps what he sows and his sons brought him much trouble. Our sins can cause others much trouble but there is a welcome and restoration in Christ. We can be useful in His kingdom.
