If we do not abide in Christ there will be no fruit and where there is no fruit there is judgement. To abide in Christ is to abide in His love, and He loves His people in the same way the Father loves Him. As we live in His love, we obey Him and therefore stay in His love. It is also to abide in His words; to be of one mind with Him and desire the same things. God’s desire is to make us like Christ.
