Bible Text: Ruth 3:1-5 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Ruth | Naomi is looking for rest and security for Ruth through marriage. What Israelite man would want to marry a Moabite? Ruth is to make herself alluring. At worst this is an immoral plan, and at best she is trying to sow seeds in the mind of Boaz. Naomi didn’t deserve a daughter-in-law who would go through with this plan. Did Ruth deserve Boaz’ generosity? God gives His people beyond what they deserve. We also make sinful plans but God continues to bless us. This should not make us casual and foolish but humble.
