How much time do we spend each day thinking about heaven? The more we do, the more useful we will be as God’s servants. Paul pictures the Christian as an athlete running a race. The starting point is knowing Jesus Christ. Christ’s finished work is the only qualification and is all we need. He is also how we keep going; we must forget our past failures and run the race looking to Him. The prize is to be with Him in heaven.
