Jesus Christ both opens and shuts doors. He opens the door to God – the only true way – but there will come a day when He shuts because it is too late. He opens doors of opportunity for the Christian to tell others of the gospel. We may feel we have little power but the work is God’s. He closes the door to trials; not that His people will escape trial, but He will keep them through it. The door to go out of His eternal temple is also closed. His people are pillars; vitally important.
