Nebuchadnezzar had made a remarkable decree but hadn’t repented. God is gracious in continuing to call, and sends him a disturbing dream. When we are troubled, the Christian has assurance that God is at work in all things. Daniel gives him the bad news sensitively; he will lose his mind and live like an animal. The kingdom will be restored to him when he acknowledges that heaven rules. We must speak and call people to repent.
