The text highlights the absurdity of worshipping something that had been made. Nebuchadnezzar is furious when Daniel’s companions do not worship the image. The world gets angry when we do not join in with their sin. When testing comes, we find out the allegiance of our hearts. Is our allegiance to the Lord?
