The Shunammite woman was wealthy but put her wealth to good and Godly use. She is an example of hospitality. When her son dies she wastes no time in going to the man of God, Elisha. In difficulties we must run directly to God. The woman is an example of faith as she believes Elisha can raise her son. It is not Elisha’s actions that bring the boy back to life but the power of God’s Holy Spirit, just as He brings dead sinners to life.
