Jesus tells the disciples He will not leave them as orphans but will come to them, seemingly referring to His resurrection. They would see and understand that He was in the Father, and just as death could not conquer Him, so it would not conquer them. The blessing extends to us. Even when things seem bleak, we need never despair.
