Philip asks to be shown what the Father is like. We might think we would be bolder and more courageous in our faith if we could see something dramatic or miraculous. Jesus doesn’t tell us we need that. If we want to know more about God we need to look more at Christ. His perfection and purity was resented but He was obedient to the law for us.
