A divided church may not survive. Paul’s prayer is for unity. The strong have an obligation to bear with the weak, not to grin and bear it, but to serve and help them. Not that we are to be man-pleasers. Paul is not dealing with ethics and morality but secondary issues. The key is to consider Christ who gave up the glory of heaven to suffer and die. What have we given up for Christian unity?
