Bold like a lion, Peter says he will lay down his life for Jesus, yet fails when questioned by a servant girl. We don’t know how we may fall when tempted. We vow never to return to a sin again, yet a short time later are repenting again. Our salvation depends on Christ laying down His life for us, not us for Him. We need to know what we are like and look to Him. He is interceding in heaven for us and there is wonderful hope of restoration.
