Jesus’ upper room discourse begins here, after Judas’ departure. They are precious words for His people. Now He is glorified as the cross is why He came, and God is glorified in His obedience. As He had a purpose, so do His people. Are we looking for the things He would have us do in His service? This is the moment that all human history has been building to. Jesus is now glorified in heaven for us and He lives forever to intercede for us.
