Jesus washes the disciples’ feet; a task that would normally have been performed by a servant or slave. He will one day judge the earth yet here serves others. The foot washing illustrates what He is going to do on the cross. If we don’t allow Jesus to wash our sin away, there is no hope. We contribute nothing to our salvation.
