It was a rare thing for a priest to be chosen to go into the holy place. While carrying out this duty, Zechariah sees an angel. He was a godly man and the angel only represented something of God’s glory, yet Zechariah was greatly troubled. He is not only fearful because of the supernatural appearance but because of where he is. He is able to enter the holy place because blood has been shed. We must be ready to meet the living God. We can by ready through Christ’s blood that was offered.
