Bible Text: Psalm 55 | Preacher: Dan Peters | This Psalm has two halves: David moves from panic to peace in verse 16, but his enemies hadn’t disappeared. The Psalm’s hinge is that David has cast his burdens on the Lord. The promise is not deliverance but that God will sustain and give peace. We expect things to happen instantly but we need to keep praying until this happens. The Psalm’s hope is the possibility of enemies changing and coming to fear God.
