Jesus encourages Jairus towards faith. The mourners’ superficiality is seen in their laughter. They did not believe Jesus’ words. Jairus and his wife do not laugh. They have courage from His words and have faith. Here is a Saviour who has gone to the unclean. He touched her hand, which would have made Him ceremonially unclean. No matter what we have done, we can have faith that He can save us.
