Coronavirus: God Says This World is Not What it Should Be

Passage: Romans 8:18-25
Service Type:

Bible Text: Romans 8:18-25 | Preacher: David Cox | This world is not what it used to be. It was created as a paradise with no death but when Adam and Eve sinned the world was ruined as well. We see a world dominated by a virus and there is colossal human suffering. However, the world is not what it will be. Freedom from the curse will be regained. It is those who love God who will live in that world. The cross is the pivot on which the direction of this world turned. God leaves heaven and steps into this wilderness, dying to redeem creation and His people, to make all things new. This hope belongs to the Christian.

NOTE: This sermon was part of a pre-recorded video service for the church to watch at home due to the coronavirus outbreak. The original video including recorded Hebron congregational singing and a children’s talk can be found here.
